Frank's dream for Il Tavolo di Palmisano started years ago, wanting to open a welcoming restaurant with his family, featuring their historic recipes and nodding to the generations of food focused that came before him. His grandparents would be so proud.

Clinton brings 110% of his Italian passion to Il Tavolo. Schooled by his grandmother and mom in the classics, he's brought the family's historic Pugilese into the present. A master of improv, specials are his favorite, so don't miss them: Sunday gravy, fresh fish he snagged, whatever is new and interesting. Recently of Maggie's and Biggie's Clam Bar, and previously head chef of Stinger's Classic Grill for 10 years, Clinton started his culinary training at Bergen. We're happy he's part of the family.

Robert is manning the helm upfront, as General Manager on the leadership team. He joins lifelong friends Frank and Peter in the project, loves working with 'family' and makes all guests feel equally comfortable. Robert's varied career brings a wide skillset to 'the table' and his love of food has been a lifelong devotion.

This restaurant screams FAMILY! As soon as we arrived we were instantly greeted by owner Frank Palmisano and manager Robert Hoff and I knew immediately we became part of the family. The bustling energy of the restaurant and the delicious comfort food I ate will surely bring me back to Il Tavolo very soon. Take my advice: go soon, and meet and become part of the family.

8/8/20: Absolutely love this place. It's very new so not sure the word has got out about this gem. But food is amazing and fairly priced. The outdoor setup is very well done and allows for a ton of seating. Owner came by to ask how we were doing -- just friendly all around. We've been by three times so far post COVID and will keep coming back!

7/26/20: Ordered delivery for the first time after not feeling up to our usual places. The food was AMAZING. My husband had the pork chop and raved about it from start to finish. And I had the Risotto Carbonara and I can't say enough about it--probably the best risotto I've ever had!!! Delivery was on time and everything was hot and ready to eat. This will definitely be part of our "usual places" from now on!

With so many Italian spots you have to stand out and this one definitely does! The apps were amazing, shrimp petes, long hots & calamari...I'd go back just for that! I was with 8 people, the chicken parm, pork chops, and eggplant & chicken piccata were all getting great reviews. I had the cacio de pepe and was amazing not overly creamy. Espresso martini and mediterranean mule were both awesome. Great atmosphere, great food I will definitely be back! Well done Palmisano's!
